What is a long-pulse Nd:YAG laser?
1. The Nd:YAG laser is a solid-state laser capable of generating near-infrared wavelengths that penetrate deep into the skin and are easily absorbed by the hemoglobin and melanin chromophores.
2. The laser medium of Nd:YAG (neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet) is an artificial crystal (solid state) that is pumped by a high-intensity lamp and placed in a resonator (a cavity capable of amplifying the laser power).

How do long-pulse Nd:YAG lasers work?
1. Nd:YAG laser energy is selectively absorbed into the deeper dermis and allows the treatment of deeper vascular lesions such as telangiectasias, hemangiomas and leg veins.
2. The laser energy is delivered using long pulses, which are converted into heat in the tissue. Heat can affect the diseased vasculature.
3. The Nd:YAG laser can be treated at a more superficial level; by heating the subcutaneous skin (in a non-ablative manner), it stimulates new collagen production, thereby improving the appearance of facial wrinkles.

Parameter setting method
1. Energy setting:The setting is for every single pulse energy, when the wavelength is 1064nm,energy can be adjusted between 0.1~80J. When it is 755nm, energy is between 0.7~30J. Under “stand by” and “ready” condition, one can set the energy.
2. Frequency setting: when the wavelength is 1064nm, frequency can be adjusted between 0.1~50Hz, when the wavelength is 755nm, the frequency can be adjusted between 0.5~20Hz. One can set the frequency under both ready and standby condition
3. Wavelength selection:when the wavelength is 1064nm,the wavelength can be adjusted between 0.1~200ms,when it is 755nm,the wavelength can be adjusted between0.5~20
